Case Study
Cartoon Network
Nine years leading digital product design for kids and families — web, mobile, and streaming experiences recognized with an Emmy and a Design Patent.
Overview
I helped define how millions of young fans discovered, played, and watched their favorite shows with Cartoon Network apps and websites. I balanced brand playfulness with clarity, safety, and accessibility for a family audience. I launched the Emmy award winning Cartoon Network video app across multiple devices and platforms including iOS, Android, web, Roku, Apple TV, Xbox, and more.
Role & Approach
Progressed from product designer to senior product designer to managing a small team, partnering with Product, Engineering, and editorial teams. Focused on research-informed flows, iterative prototyping, and design systems that kept velocity high across a large portfolio. We also managed multiple 3rd party vendors that aided in building out the suite of products.
Outcomes
Designed and architected the Emmy Award-winning flagship video. Received a design patent for its innovative recommendation algorithm. I grew and mentored designers, and helped align design quality across web, iOS, and Android platforms. Helped raise our user base by more more than 25% and time spent watching video by more than 40% through iterative improvements.
